Terms of Service

1. The service

RateCS shows publicly available information about Counter-Strike 2 players (e.g. from Steam, FACEIT and Leetify) and calculates an explained Trust Score. The service is free of charge. There is no right to a particular feature or to permanent availability; we may change, limit or discontinue features at any time.

2. Trust Score and data accuracy

The Trust Score is an automated statistical estimate based on public data. It is not proof of misconduct, not an accusation and not an official statement by Valve, FACEIT or any other provider. Every score shows the factors it is based on.

Data comes from third parties and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. We don't guarantee that any information is accurate, complete or up to date. Do not base decisions with consequences for other people solely on RateCS.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use RateCS to harass, threaten, dox or publicly accuse other players
• circumvent rate limits, bot protection or other security measures, or overload the service (e.g. DDoS, mass automated requests)
• scrape or systematically copy content beyond the public API and its limits
• probe, attack or exploit vulnerabilities (please report them to business@ratecs.com instead)
• misuse the Discord bot, e.g. to spam channels
• impersonate others or submit removal requests for profiles that aren't yours

4. Account

You can sign in with your Steam account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts or block access that violate these terms or endanger the service.

5. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use RateCS. Signing in requires a Steam account and is subject to Steam's own age rules; if you are under 16, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to create an account.

6. Stream overlay

The stream overlay shows only your own public statistics. Your overlay URL is personal and secret: do not share or show it on stream. If it becomes public, create a new URL in your account settings, which immediately disables the old one. You are responsible for how you use the overlay in your broadcasts.

7. API and Discord bot

The public API and the Discord bot are subject to rate limits and daily budgets. We may change or revoke access at any time, especially in case of abuse. Leetify data may only be shown with attribution and must not be stored.

8. Third parties and trademarks

RateCS is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam, FACEIT, Leetify or Skinport/CSFloat. Counter-Strike, Steam and other names are trademarks of their respective owners. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; their content and terms are their responsibility.

9. Advertising and partner links

RateCS is financed by advertising and partner links. Ads are marked as “Ad”, partner links as “Partner link”. Purchases on partner sites are solely between you and that marketplace.

10. Removal of profiles

Players can request that their profile be hidden via /removal. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from the use of RateCS, from incorrect or missing third-party data or from downtime. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version always applies. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Last updated: 2026-11-01.
